Dental Specialty Night March 16

Ann Arbor, MI - March 10, 2009 - The University of Michigan School of Dentistry's Alumni Society Board of Governors will be holding its annual Dental Specialty Night Monday, March 16. The program, which begins at 6:30 p.m., will be held in the dental school building in the Student Forum on the ground floor near Palmer Commons.

Dental students will have an opportunity to hear from general practice dentists and specialists in orthodontics, periodontics, oral surgery, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics. The dentists and specialists will answer questions and discuss a range of issues that students are likely to encounter following their graduation.

Dr. Daniel Edwards, a general practice dentist and member of the School's Alumni Society Board of Governors, will be program moderator. Specialists scheduled to appear include periodontists Drs. Sandra Chang and Mitch Kaplan, orthodontists Drs. Josie Weeden and Laurie McNamara McClatchey, oral surgeons Drs. Jerry Booth and Norbert Fernandez, pediatric dentists Drs. Susan Carron and Sam Malcheff, prosthodontist Dr. Bob Brustad, and endodontists Drs. Alayne Evans and Richard Zillich.
